I read
Rationale for educational blogging by Anne Davis and
Educational blogging: what, Where, Why and How by Troy Hicks from the part of Educational Rationale for and Pedagogy of blogging on the
Web 2.0 in the classroom . I got my idea about that I could use blogs in following three ways in my class:
1. I could use blogs to engage students practice thire Chinese writing skills. I will let studenents create one of their own Chinese blog in school settings. First, ask them set up their own "About Me" to practice basic writting by intruducing or discribing themselves. Also Any diverse entry such as text, image, and vedio could be used by students to demonstrate themselves to others.
2. I could post a project, assignment or discussion topic to share opinion on blogs. we can choose some topics which most students like to discuss. For instant, if we choose fruit as a topic, first I will ask students use completed sentence to answer a cluster fo questions like " Do you like eating fruits? what fruits do you like? what's your faverate fruit? what fruit you don't like? can you discrib your favourite fruit?...." if we choose Breakfast as a topic, a cluster of questions will be" Do you eat breakfast everyday? What do you eat for breakfast? Do think what is healty breakfast? what does it include? What kind of breakfast do you think healty? ..."
Then the students post all this information on their blogs to share with others. The entry of text, images or vedio could be used. At last, ask students make a partner or a small group to visit others' blogs and choose at least 3 blogs they like best to write comments for feedback.
3. I could use blogs to post some attractive propriate Chinese story without ending to encourage students to improve their reading, writing and speaking. students need to read the story first, and then create their own result or the ending of the story on their own blog. at last they tell the story to the class one by one.
